Have you ever wondered what Bible stories might connect with someone coming from a Buddhist worldview?
That's the question we've been asking ourselves over the last several months as we have begun working on a new animated series of Bible stories for Buddhists. The stories are the basis for the entire series. And we want to make sure we get them right.
"Someone who's coming in with a Buddhist background, they have a certain way of viewing the world that's different than our own," said Carlos Guerra, a member of the Antioch Ministries International (AMI) team in Thailand. "What are the stories that speak to them? We're looking for the places where the distance between the Buddhist worldview and the Christian worldview are closest."
We've worked closely with the AMI team and Wycliffe to determine what stories will most speak to a Buddhist audience. The Wycliffe team has been testing these stories for several years. And the AMI team took the stories and is editing them into scripts for video.
You can watch the video above to hear more from those who worked on the stories.
